Love it or hate it, winter is coming. If you’re among the not-so-excited, take heart that your winter wardrobe can be cozier and comfier than ever thanks to three styles we’re seriously loving this season. Bundling up is anything but boring when you embrace these wearable, warm, and fashion-forward looks that’ll keep your spirits high despite dipping temperatures.
Cardigans used to have a prim and proper vibe – fitted and waistline-skimming, they were a go-to for professional and pulled-together looks. Well, this season, your favorite wardrobe staple has rogue in the best possible way.
Hello, comfier, roomier cut.
Slip into an oversized cardi to face the elements (or just the day). We’re loving cardigan-coat hybrids in thick knits – perfect for a chilly day in leggings and boots without the bulk of a full-weight winter coat. Knee-length styles offer the most bundle for your buck. While we’re all about this season’s dressed-down styles (think leggings, flats, basic t and a comfy cardi), the oversized cardi is this season’s it item because it’s so flexible. Throw on some dark denim, heels, and a simple silk cami – top it off with your oversized cardi – and you’re dressed to the nines for a night out.

Lounge Pants, 2.0
Dress up your winter wardrobe with…lounge pants? Yep. Maybe you’ve seen your super-chic friends or coworkers pulling off the tailored lounge pant look already. If you’re wondering if you can pull it off, too, we vote yes (yes, yes!).
Comfort meets sophistication in wool, cotton, and even silk styles that are relaxed through the hips and fitted at the ankle. Pair these versatile pants with a classic white button-down, blazer, and pumps, and you’re work-ready. Or, for a more relaxed look, slip into your favorite flats and sweater and you’re pulling off the lounge pant look, no sweat.

Ponchos that Pop
Winter weather means chunky knits that don’t always fit well under form-fitting jackets or coats (aka, the “cable-knit conundrum”). Choosing the right outwear for some of winter’s bulkier tops can be a challenge – and a tight squeeze.
Enter the poncho – and its sister style, the cape. There’s no shortage of amazing styles this season, and we’re loving everything from elegant, structured wools with waist-flattering belts to drapey pull-over styles in power prints. Going with an unbelted poncho or cape? Opt for slim fitting jeans or leggings to create a perfectly balanced silhouette.

Wintry weather doesn’t have to mean dreary fashion choices – especially this year, with stand-out ponchos to top off your outfit, lounge pants with a sophisticated twist, and oversized cardigans to dress up or down. Which style will be keeping you warm this winter? Comment below!
