With so many looks that strut down the runway during Fashion Week, it can be overwhelming to identify which ones you’d like to rock down your street this Fall. To make it easier, we’ve highlighted some of our favorite looks as well as stores where you can shop them.
Home Décor Chic – This year, designers took on the world of interiors for Fall by representing fabrics and designs shoppers would usually find in their high-fashion living room. Tory Burch, Erdem, Mary Katrantzou and Marques Almeida are prime examples of those that rocked the runway with this innovative look.
Best ways to wear this as an everyday look? Look for sweaters, pants or jackets that show a distinct pattern and pair with a solid colored item.
Floor Dusting Jacket – Another great piece to add to your 2015 Fall wardrobe is the long jacket. During fashion week, Dries Van Noten, Calvin Klein Collection and Chanel all delivered exquisite floor length jackets.
To give this the “wow” factor you’re looking for this Fall, try pairing the jacket with a midi dress and bootie heels.
A Tad of Fur – Those full length faux fur jackets have been taken apart and collaged into different types of jackets for Fall. From the use of fur lining to pockets, designers at Fashion Week implemented fur modestly to create a chic style.
Put on some jeans and boots for a daytime look or pair it with your favorite LBD and some strappy shoes for a night out!
Slip On the Slip Dress – This iconic 90s look is back. Designers like Celine and Rag & Bone demonstrated slip dress pieces with different colors and styles – some worn over pants.
Pair this dress with a warm sweater, tall boots or even bootie heels for a night out on the town.
Texture of the season – One of the most favored Fall and Winter textures is velvet. This year’s Fashion Week had plenty of velvet creations. From Emilio Puccie to Alexander Wang – velvet was integrated into jumpsuits, coats and wide-legged trousers.
Pair a velvet dress with your favorite heels, a sleek jacket and a long necklace.
